I think the fundamental problem of being an outsider to the society in which you live is you inherently have to view the society in transactional terms.
it reduces the point of the nation to being the overseer of the line go up GDP maximizer.
To illustrate the point the advocacy around turning Canada into a nation of 100 million through mass immigration by the end of this century I believe the goal was.
I don't think it amounts to a theseus ship quandary when your replacing a population to that degree. And it becomes less a question of what is a Canadian and one of what does it matter to be one?
No amount of geographic determinism or cultural osmosis will likely ever be able to cope with a change that fast and to that degree.
and so it reduces citizens to market participants who then we will act accordingly. Going to wherever they can maximize their own material gain.
The expats who will work in UAE or Saudi arabai will not give a damn what becomes of those countries or the people that live there. They will of course only care that the checks keep coming for them citizenship is purely transactional.
I think that is the “liberal” vision of the world that the modern right is meant to be a counter vailing force to. I understand for those who already transplant to another society whether by their own choice or not may not understand.
Firstly, narcissism and sex offending are two completely different issues.
Jeffery Epstein was an international sex trafficker and paedophile.
People with narcissism believe they are better than other people, have a sense of entitlement and do not take responsibility or blame.
However, Jeffrey Epstein was probably not just a narcissist but he was probably also a psychopath as well in the special type of way he felt no guit. Narcissists can feel guilt but will never show it. They will quickly cover it up with their narcissistic bluster and anger. Psychopaths have ice running through their veins. They are cold even if they are magnetic on the outside with their personality. Think about Ted Bundy as an example. A warm friendly psychologist working on a suicide prevention line.
So how do you tell the difference between a narcissist and a psychopath. Think back to Trump at the Correspondence dinner when he was being humiliated by Obama. He was so furious, his head was about to explode. If he was a psychopath, he would have been able to give a charismatic smile and laugh along with the people at the table, ice cold. Trump still plotted his revenge but he is not smooth in his technique. He is a bull in a china shop and he polarises and repels people.
Epstein was enormously influencial and drew people to him like moths to a flame despite his depravity. Trump wants to be the centre of attention but he pushes other people out of the way to get it. He does not play well in the sandpit.
There are other smoother forms of narcissism than Trumps that is not psychopathy. For example, the Clintons are a much smoother form of narcissism that is not psychopathy. (Most politicians will have some narcissistic traits or they will not last in the toxic world of politics).
There are many, many, many paedophiles and even sex traffickers that are not necessarily narcissisists even though you think they must be to do what they do. People who are attracted to children can be absolutely disgusted and terrified with their paraphilia. There has been many various therapy techniques and programs but unfortunately even for the most committed non-offender, the recovery rate is almost non-existent. If they cannot not offend on their own accord, they must be kept in indefinite sentencing.
This is not meant to be a overview of personality disorders, They impact on various individuals in substantially different ways and I did not want to go into the dry diagnostic criteria.

Well written! Thanks for putting in the effort.
